With whom did Rome fight during the Punic Wars?

Rome fought against the Greeks, Macedonians and Carthage. There were three Punic Wars in total. The conflict got its name from the word “pune”, as the Romans called the Carthaginians. The first military clash took place in 264 BC. Then Rome was not yet so powerful. The war lasted until 241 BC – Rome won. Then there were two more wars, in which the Romans finally defeated Carthage, and its capital, Carthage, was completely destroyed from the face of the earth, fearing that one day this city would once again rise up against Rome.
