World War I – participants, goals and consequences.

The First World War broke out at the beginning of the 20th century. The main participants in the war were two opposing alliances: the Entente and the Quarter Alliance. From the side of the Entente: Russia, England and France. The representatives of the Quarter Union were: Germany, Bulgaria, Austria-Hungary and Turkey. Each side wanted to gain more influence and expand its territories, but it so happened that the conflict was very protracted, each side suffered heavy losses. Therefore, no significant results were achieved by either side. The Entente emerged victorious in the war.
