2CH3Cl + 2Na = C2H6 + 2NaCl – Wurtz reaction, ethane was formed;
C2H6 + Cl2 = C2H5Ci + HCl – substitutions, chloroethane obtained;
3С2Н5Cl + 3Na = C6H14 + 3NaCl – Wurtz reaction, hexane isolated;
C6H14 = C3H8 + C3H6 – decomposition, propane was formed;
C3H8 + Cl2 = C3H7Cl + HCl – substitutions, chloropropane was obtained;
С3Н7Cl + KOH = C3H7OH + KCl – exchange, propanol was formed;
С3Н7ОН + 5О2 = 3СО2 + 4Н2О – combustion, release of heat, carbon dioxide and water;
