Write down the main ways you know how to protect yourself from contracting infectious diseases.

1. Vaccination. It consists in introducing weakened microbial particles or their pieces into the blood. The body begins to create its own protective antibodies and becomes resistant to infections, such as the flu.
2. Introduction of sera. This method differs from vaccination in that ready-made antimicrobial elements – antibodies – enter the blood of a person. They are immediately able to resist infection, but a person does not create their own immunity – for example, with diphtheria.
3. Antibiotic prophylaxis. For some diseases, it is effective to take antibiotics to prevent, for example, borreliosis.
