1) The reaction takes place between substances such as sodium nitrate salt and sulfuric acid. As a result of this chemical interaction, the barium sulfate salt and nitric acid are formed. This is an exchange reaction.

Ba (NO3) 2 + H2SO4 = BaSO4 + 2 HNO3

The ionic reaction equation can be written as follows:

Ba2+ + 2 NO3 –  + 2 H + SO4 2-  = BaSO4 + 2 H+ + 2 NO3

Ba 2+ + SO4 2- = BaSO4.
