Write down the reaction equations indicating the conditions of occurrence: CaCO3 – CaO – CaC2 – C2H2 – C6H6

Let’s write the equations:
CaCO3 = CaO + CO2 – calcium oxide is released;
CaO + 3C = CaC2 + CO – reduction of calcium oxide with carbon occurs at a temperature of 2000 degrees, calcium carbide is obtained;
CaC2 + 2H2O = Ca (OH) 2 + C2H2 – gaseous acetylene is evolved;
3C2H2 = C6H6 – trimerization, occurs when heated, coal is used as a catalyst, benzene is formed;
These reactions show the relationship between inorganic and organic compounds. The most valuable reaction products are used in industry, for example, acetylene is used in cutting and welding metals. Benzene is used as an additive to motor fuel for ignition.
