The Jacobins came to power in a coup they carried out. During their reign, a dictatorship was established and radical reforms were carried out. As a result of their rule, the court became nominal (the process became simplified, superficial), lawlessness intensified, political repressions were carried out, and the death penalty for crimes was officially allowed.
