Write the formulas of substances X, Y, Z in the chain of transformations: CaC₂ (+ H₂O) → X (+ HCl) → Y (t, p, cat) → Z

The first reaction of interaction of calcium carbide with water will proceed with the replacement of hydrogen by a calcium atom, as a result of which a base and acetylene C2H2 are formed:

1) Ca2C + H2O -> Ca (OH) 2 + CH≡CH;

Further reaction will proceed with the organic compound ethine with the breaking of the triple bond at acetylene. Chloroethene (vinyl chloride) is formed:

2) CH≡CH + HCL -> CH2 = CH-CL

The last will be the polymerization reaction, where polychloroethene or polyvinyl chloride is formed:

3) nCH2 = CH-CL – (t, p, cat) -> [-CH2 = CH-CL-] n
