The Mongol-Tatar yoke had a dual influence on the development of Rus. It brought many negative consequences that did not allow the restoration of the economy and international relations. Also, the yoke did not allow the princes to unite, since the khans applied the principle of “divide and rule”. The craft and agriculture stopped in development, because the population got a heavy share of the payment of the in kind tax in favor of the horde.
