1) AL2O3 + 6НCL = 2AlCl3 + 3Н2О – aluminum oxide reacts with hydrochloric acid and aluminum chloride and water are formed.
2) AlCl3 + 3NaOH = Al (OH) 3 + 3NaCl – aluminum chloride reacts with sodium hydroxide to form aluminum hydroxide and sodium chloride.
3) 2Al (OH) 3 = Al2O3 + 3H2O – when heated, aluminum hydroxide decomposes into aluminum oxide and water.
4) Al2O3 = Al + O2 – with further frying, aluminum oxide decomposes into metallic aluminum and oxygen.
