| 1) Barium reacts with oxygen and forms – barium oxide:
2Ba + O2 → 2BaO;
2) Barium oxide reacts with water, it turns out – barium hydroxide:
BaO + H2O → Ba (OH) 2;
3) When barium hydroxide and carbon dioxide react, barium carbonate and water are formed:
Ba (OH) 2 + CO2 → BaCO3 ↓ + H2O;
4) Barium carbonate interacts with hydrochloric acid, it turns out – carbon dioxide, water and barium chloride:
BaCO3 + 2HCl → CO2 + H2O + BaCl2;
5) Carbon dioxide reacts with water, we get – glucose:
6CO2 + 6H2O → C6H12O6;
6) To obtain gluconic acid from glucose, it is necessary to add copper hydroxide to the latter:
C6H12O6 + 2Cu (OH) 2 → C6H12O7 + Cu2O + 2H2O.
