1) C2H2 + H2O → CH3CHO
After that, the oxidation of acetaldehyde with copper hydroxide occurs:
2) CH3CHO + 2Cu (OH) 2 -> CH3COOH + Cu2O + 2H2O
And in the end we get elite acetate. Ethyl acetate is formed by direct interaction of ethanol with acetic acid (esterification reaction):
3) CH3COOH + C2H5OH = CH3COOC2H5 + H2O
