Write the reaction equation C2H5OH – C2H5COOC2H5 – C2H5COONa

Let’s write down the reaction equations for organic substances:
1. С2Н5ОН + С2Н5 – СООН = С2Н5 – СОО – С2Н5 + Н2О – esterification reaction, occurs when heated in the presence of sulfuric acid as a dehydrating agent, propionoethyl ether is obtained;
2. С2Н5СОО – С2Н5 + Н2О = С2Н5СООН + С2Н5ОН – hydrolysis, propionic acid and ethanol were obtained;
3. 2C2H5 – COOH + 2Na = 2C2H5COONa + H2 – substitutions, sodium propionate and hydrogen were obtained.
These reactions show a linkage bond between alcohols, esters and organic salts. Esters are used as solvents.
