| 1) When heated, calcium carbonate decomposes into calcium oxide and carbon dioxide:
CaCO3 → CaO + CO2;
2) When carbon dioxide and calcium hydroxide interact, we get – calcium precipitate and water:
CO2 + Ca (OH) 2 → CaCO3 ↓ + H2O;
3) Calcium carbonate reacts with water and carbon dioxide, we get – calcium bicarbonate:
CaCO3 ↓ + H2O + CO2 → Ca (HCO3) 2;
4) Calcium bicarbonate reacts with hydrochloric acid and calcium chloride, carbon dioxide and water are formed:
Ca (HCO3) 2 + 2HCl → CaCl2 + 2CO2 + 2H2O;
5) Calcium chloride reacts with silver nitrate, as a result of the presented reaction, calcium nitrate and a precipitate of silver chloride are formed
CaCl2 + 2AgNO3 → Ca (NO3) 2 + 2AgCl ↓.
