2Cl2 + 7O2 = Cl2O7.
2. Chlorine oxide (VII) dissolves in water and forms perchloric acid.
Cl2O7 + H2O = 2HClO4.
3. Formation of sodium perchlorate in the reaction of acid with sodium hydroxide.
HClO4 + NaOH = NaClO4 + H2O.
