| 1) Iron reacts with chlorine, we get iron (II) chloride:
Fe + Cl2 → FeCl2;
2) Iron (II) chloride reacts with nitric acid and forms – iron (II) nitrate and hydrochloric acid:
FeCl2 + 2HNO3 → Fe (NO3) 2 + 2HCl;
3) Iron (II) nitrate interacts with sodium hydroxide and it turns out – iron (II) hydroxide and sodium nitrate:
Fe (NO3) 2 + 2NaOH → Fe (OH) 2 ↓ + 2NaNO3;
4) Iron (II) oxide decomposes into iron (II) oxide and water:
Fe (OH) 2 → FeO + H2O.
