When carbon monoxide and potassium oxide react, the result is a potassium carbonate salt.

3. Reaction of exchange.

К2СО3 + 2НNO3 = 2 KNO3 + H2O + CO2.

When potassium carbonate interacts with nitric acid, the result is potassium nitrate, water and carbon dioxide.
