2) H2O + K2O = 2KOH (when water interacts with potassium oxide, potassium hydroxide is formed);
3) 2KOH + CO2 = K2CO3 + H2O (when potassium hydroxide interacts with carbon dioxide, potassium carbonate and water are formed);
4) K2CO3 + 2HNO3 = 2KNO3 + CO2 + H2O (when potassium carbonate interacts with nitric acid, potassium nitrate, carbon dioxide and water are formed).
