Write the reaction equation: Na- NaOH- Na2SO4- NaNO3

Let’s write down the reaction equations.

1. 2Na + 2H2O = 2NaOH + H2 (Sodium is an active alkali metal, reacts violently with water under normal conditions);

2.2NaOH + H2SO4 = Na2SO4 + 2H2O or

2NaOH + CuSO4 = Cu (OH) 2 + Na2SO4 (copper hydroxide precipitates as a blue precipitate)

3. Na2SO4 + Ba (NO3) 2 = BaSO4 + 2NaNO3 (barium sulfate in the form of a white precipitate also leaves the reaction sphere) or

Na2SO4 + Ca (NO3) 2 = CaSO4 + 2NaNO3 (calcium sulfate precipitates).
