Write the reaction equation: NaOH – Na2S – H2S – SO2 – Na2SO3 – SO2

When sodium hydroxide interacts with hydrogen sulfide, sodium sulfide and water are formed:
2NaOH + H2S → Na2S + 2H2O;

Sodium sulfide reacts with hydrochloric acid and it turns out – hydrogen sulfide and sodium chloride:
Na2S + 2HCl → H2S + 2NaCl;

When hydrogen sulfide interacts with oxygen, we get sulfur oxide (IV) and water:
2H2S + 3O2 → 2SO2 + 2H2O;

Sulfur oxide (IV) reacts with sodium oxide, and it turns out – sodium sulfite:
SO2 + Na2O → Na2SO3;

Sodium sulfite reacts with hydrochloric acid to form water, sulfur (IV) oxide and sodium chloride:
Na2SO3 + 2HCl → H2O + SO2 + 2NaCl.
