Write the reaction equation: P – P2O3 – P2O5 – H3PO4
To carry out the above chain of transformations, we need to carry out three reactions.
the first reaction is the reaction between phosphorus and oxygen. As a result of this interaction, trivalent phosphorus oxide is formed. Graphically, we write the equation of a chemical reaction as follows.
4 P + 3 O2 = 2 P2O3
The second reaction, this reaction occurs between substances such as trivalent phosphorus oxide and oxygen. As a result of the reaction, pentavalent phosphorus oxide is formed. The molecular equation of the reaction can be written as follows:
P2O3 + O2 = P2O5
And the last reaction is the reaction of obtaining phosphoric acid from pentavalent phosphorus oxide and water. Graphically, we write the equation of a chemical reaction as follows.
P2O5 + 3 H2O = 2 H3PO4.
