Write the reaction equation: Zn -ZnO – ZnSO4 – Zn (OH) 2 – ZnCL2 – Zn

When zinc interacts with oxygen, zinc oxide is formed:
2Zn + O2 → 2ZnO;

As a result of the exchange reaction between zinc oxide and sulfuric acid, zinc sulfate and water are obtained:
ZnO + H2SO4 → ZnSO4 + H2O;

Zinc sulfate reacts with sodium hydroxide, during the presented reaction, a precipitate forms – zinc hydroxide and sodium sulfate:
ZnSO4 + 2NaOH → Zn (OH) 2 ↓ + Na2SO4;

To obtain zinc chloride from zinc hydroxide, it is necessary to add hydrochloric acid to the hydroxide:
Zn (OH) 2 + 2HCl → ZnCl2 + 2H2O;

Zinc chloride decomposes into zinc and chlorine:
ZnCl2 → Zn + Cl2.
