| Let’s carry out the solution of the chain of transformations for organic compounds:
1. CH3COOH + NH3 = CH3COONH4 – in the process of interaction of acetic acid and ammonia, the ammonium acetate salt was obtained;
2. CH3COONH4 + H2O = CH3CONH2 – organic hydrolysis occurs when the salt is heated, leading to the formation of acetic acid amide;
3. CH3CO – NH2 + H2O + HCl = CH3COOH + NH4Cl – acid hydrolysis of acid amide, acetic acid was obtained.
These reactions show a bond between acetic acid and its compounds. The reaction products are of practical importance, for example, acetic acid amide is used in the production of paints and varnishes.
