| In order to carry out the entire homologous chain of transformations, which is given in the task, we need to carry out three reactions. The first is the interaction of sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid. As a result of this neutralization reaction, sodium chloride salt and water are formed.
NaOH + HCl = NaCl + H2O
Next, to carry out the reaction, we take hydrochloric acid and add potassium oxide. We get calcium chloride salt and water.
2 HCl + CaO = CaCl2 + H2O
Calcium oxide and water form calcium hydroxide.
CaO + H2O = Ca (OH) 2.
