Write the reaction equations: CH4 – CH3Cl – C2H6 – C2H4 – C2H5OH – H-COO-C2H5 C2H4 – COOH

Let’s compose the reaction equations for solving the chain of transformations:
CH4 + Cl2 = CH3Cl + HCl – substitution reaction, methane chloride is formed;
2CH3Cl + 2Na = C2H6 + 2NaCl – Wurtz reaction, ethane obtained;
C2H6 = C2H4 + H2 – dehydrogenation, ethylene was formed;
С2Н4 + НОН = С2Н5ОН – hydration, ethanol was obtained;
С2Н5ОН + НСООН = НСОО – С2Н5 + Н2О – esterification, ethyl formate is formed;
НСОО – С2Н5 + Н2О = С2Н5ОН + НСООН – ether hydrolysis, ethyl alcohol and formic acid were released;
С2Н5ОН = С2Н4 + Н2О – dehydration reaction, ethanol was obtained.
These reactions confirm the bond between alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, esters and carboxylic acids.
