1) C2H6 + Cl2 = C2H5Cl + HCl – ethane reacts with chlorine to form chloroethane.
2) С2Н5Сl + KOH = С2Н5ОН + КСl – chloroethane reacts with calcium hydroxide to form ethyl alcohol.
3) C2H5OH + CuO -> CH3COH + Cu + H2O (condition t) – ethyl alcohol interacts with copper oxide to form ethanal, while water and metallic copper are released.
