Write the reaction equations H2 – H2O – Ca (OH) 2 – Ca

Consider the chain of transformations given to us in the task. To implement it, we need to carry out three chemical reactions.

The first reaction is the formation of water. Made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom.

2 H2 + O2 = 2 H2O

The reaction of calcium oxide and water will eventually give us calcium hydroxide. This reaction is commonly known as the lime slaking reaction.

CaO + H2O = Ca (OH) 2

And the last chemical reaction in this series is the decomposition of calcium hydroxide under the influence of temperature on calcium oxide and water.

Ca (OH) 2 = CaO + H2O.
