Write the reaction equations: Mg3P2 – PH3-P2O5

In order to carry out the chain of reactions indicated in the task, we need to carry out three reactions:

The first is a chemical reaction between the magnesium phosphate salt and hydrochloric acid. Phosphine and magnesium chloride salt are formed.

Mg3P2 + 6 HCl = 2 PH3 + 3 MgCl2

For the next reaction, we need phosphine. We add oxygen to it and as a result of a chemical reaction, water and pentavalent phosphorus oxide are formed.

2 PH3 + 4 O2 = P2O5 + 3 H2O

A compound reaction resulting in the formation of phosphoric acid. We need to conduct an interaction between pentavalent phosphorus oxide and water.

P2O5 + H2O = H3PO4.
