Write the reaction of ethine hydration.

Etine is a hydrocarbon containing two carbon atoms and the same amount of hydrogen. Its name is better known as acetylene. The hydration of acetylene is very widely used in industry as a method for producing acetaldehyde. Previously, it was Kucherov’s reaction – when ethin is passed through water or an alcohol solution, with a mercury catalyst. Mercury is toxic, so this method is now being abandoned in favor of the Wacker reaction. It involves the oxidation of ethyne over a safe palladium catalyst.
